Tom Vanden Brook-reporter for USA Today gained national notoriety when he inaccurately reported and was at fault for publishing USA Today's Headline story that The Sago Mine disaster victims were found alive,when in fact 12 miners weren't alive and only one miner survived-Vanden Brook's USA Today headline story read, “‘Alive!’ Miners Beat the Odds,” over photo of two smiling women w/ pictures of relatives of miners they believed had been found alive after reading Tom Vanden Brook's news story

@louisvilleboy89 I know some of the mine rescue team members that were there...they r haunted by this, everyday. There was nothing they could do...remember msha has to protect the lives of the rescue teams as well. I knew some people that worked here, and died here.

my heart goes out to the 12 men and their family for their loss, i belive it was msha fault they didnt get to them in time, over 44 hours it took to reach the 13 men and only randal mcclor survived. Just bc of this disaster im planing to become part of the mine resue team to prevent anything like this. God bless
