Ouch, that sounds like a bad problem.
Get a Gateway or a Dell! They are GREAT alternatives, especially with a Dell with Ubuntu or Debian on it! Linux is a GREAT alternative to Macs too! And there's no weird sounds from Gateway and Dell notebooks. Except mine :P

yeah same thing here, its pissing me off cause the laptop for me a college student was expensive, shouldda bought the extended warranty hahahah too late
