Drummers Of Brazil ( promo #1 )

Drummers of Brazil, a documentary film on brazilian drumming...showing many great Brazilian drummers ( Brazil's finnest players ) playing rhythms that most people don't even know it exist and showing you how, this tease I had to release because of carnaval...so no actuall drumkit playing in there...

Besides the drummers, the film will show many aspects of Brazilian culture, so that includes carnaval of course....
Next one will be about the trip I did to Salvador, north of Brazil...met some great drummers...great stuff
And still a lot to come....

Note: It was truly amazing to see how carnaval has an impact on perople here in Brazil, these people breth carnaval and samba all year long...the kids, the energy...
The school program by Simonal is awesome, instead of the kids stay on the streets, they gather few times a week at Uniao Imperial warehouse to study an instrument, showing it is possible to live out of music,
It was impressive to see these kids really playing they heart out, some of them don't have much technique to hold the sticks properly or to stroke it properly, but they can really play the patterns and with time, all this will eventually come together...

I would recommend to anybody that sympathises with rhythms to come to a samba school ( ensemble ) rehearsal, and spend some time with them, trying to understand where they come from, the passion in the blood for samba and music in general....
a life experience for sure!
