Two holiday trains — one in the U.S. and one in Canada, snake their way from east to west between Thanksgiving and mid-December, visiting more than 140 communities.
"Everybody brings a donation," said Mike LoVecchio, Canadian Pacific spokesman.
The program has, since 1999, raised more than $4.8 million in cash and 2.3 million pounds of food, according to LoVecchio.
"People are hungry," LoVecchio said. "We as a company want to help."
