Confined Space Rescue Training Programs (8-hour, 16-hour, or 24-hour class)

The ability to rescue trapped or injured employees from a Permit Required Confined Space is a basic OSHA requirement for any facility that expects to have their employees enter a Permit Required Confined Space. Many facilities assume that the local Fire Department will provide this service if an emergency occurs. Only a very few Fire Departments are trained in Confined Space Entry and even fewer provide Standby Rescue services for industries.

For Permit Required Confined Spaces that have a hazardous atmosphere, a Confined Space Rescue Team must be at the Facility. Our Confined Space Rescue Specialists can design and deliver a training program based on the type and location of confined spaces at your facility.

Who Should Take this Class: An 8 to 40-hour course will be developed by our Technical Rescue Specialist for anyone who, during the course of their employment, is expected to make rescues from confined spaces. This combination of drills and workshop elicit a response to chemical emergencies or other confined space issues by your personnel that is learned, practiced, and implemented on demand--almost automatically. This can ultimately save lives. The program content is customized to match your organization's specific needs.
Class Agenda: Confined Space Rescue (8 to 40 hours) Each student will receive training for horizontal and vertical rescue of injured personnel. Patient packaging, rope rescue techniques, rigging and advanced rescue techniques are taught based on the configuration of the confined spaces. Air monitoring, SCBA and supplied air respirator usage will be utilized by rescue personnel for life saving. Preplanning for rescues at your facility will be identified and the appropriate rescue techniques will be ascertained for your confined space written program.
