Heard this for the first time out of the blue on the radio whilst driving and - without knowing any of the context - the story just unfolded in the words, and the subject matter dawned on me.
Had to park up when the tears came. RIP.

Christ that's a good song. Amazing what a few words with meaning will do compaired to thousands with none.

I saw Chris play this at King's Place in the big (ish) hall there. It made me want to give up writing and playing - what do you do when one player has done all you'd like to do and better than you think you can?

brilliant, top qual songwriting, not many others on this level huh? going to see chis play tonight, can't wait, thanks for uploading

Astonishing. Makes what happened so personal, so close. It could have been your son, it could have been mine, walking on a summer day with dreams inside his head. Innocent.

Was just played on BBC Radio 2 folk program this evening. Surprised to hear it on a national radio station considering the subject.

This is another great song from Chris & it eloquently (as ever) vocalises the disbelief that I think much of the country still feels surrounding the execution of an innocent man & the lies and shocking back-scratching that followed allowing every wrongdoer involved to get off with a promotion and state pension. I hope the met appreciates that for most right-minded people, this national disgrace remains both unjustly & unsatisfactorily resolved.
