Actually it's appropriate for her. When she committed suicide, and having her remains ensconced within the Saigyou Ayakashi as it's seal, it's quite natural for her to remember her form as a young courtesan (courtesan part just an assumption, basing it on a lot of the doujinshi's depiction of Hakugyokurou).
