@94krisu Its the same reason why ramones played "the good the bad and the ugly theme" before every show. I mean when you hear ennios masterpiece, you get the same badass feeling everytime! Metallica will never abandon this tradition, because its so unique. Their show wouldnt be the same without ecstasy of gold!!

Ennio Morricone was coming back from Heaven after giving God his monthly perfromance review when he was confronted by a beast resembling Barbara Streisand. He dispatched the creature with a slice of cake and a toothbrush. He then rendezvoused with Edward Khil, Gilgamesh, Aragon, Chuck Testa, Gaston and Jimmy Page and proceeded to decimate an army of robotic emo vampires while piloting an X - Wing saving dozens of Korean orphans. He eventually returned home and wrote this song.
