According to the liner notes of the 40th Anniversary Edition of GRAND HOTEL, "Souvenir" is about a pencil (!) not VD.

I think you are a bit mistaken. The Haarlem here is the one in The Netherlands, not the one spelled with one "a" in New York City. Seeing PH play at the Apollo would be quite something though!

What a great song from one of Procol Harum's best albums! Gary's voice is quite strong after all of these years.....
