@uigohfdu167 playing barre chord is a just a physical thing. Don't expect to play nice sounding barre chord within the first few days. It usually takes a month. Start off with just barring ( don't form the chords), you can always practice other things while you wait for calluses on your index finger to grow.

@MweeCenter That is called a capo, and you can buy it for at least $5 at any local music store.

please help me it would really help me!!!I have a really hard time learning the barre chords!When i play a f barre chord my b and g string are muted.It's much easier playing barre chords while having a capo on.I went to the guitar store and they said that the height is ok.Can i ask them to decrease the height or something?Sorry for my bad english and for your time

@MweeCenter Well you don't really, really need one. You can play the same thing down on the first few frets, but i reccomend a capo because that way it gets that sound that it has in the song.
