I got my chevy cruze recently and was hunting for an opportunity to test the beast. Today while on my way to mumbai i got the chance to press the throttle hard. At 3500 rpm i could reach the speed of 205 kmph.
The car was surprisingly stable and i could drive it without any fear. The breaking was responsive and the traction control system worked well on the corners. The car is one of its kind in india and really going to change the fortune of GM the same way pulsar had changed for bajaj......
cheers...
Manish

  • Yeah....the clutch is definitely hard and has been designed for a person of at least 6 ft height....means the it's really deep we need to depress the clutch paddle. I felt it difficult while bumper to bumper driving. But since use of my car is restricted to highways I can afford to have a hard clutch. In case your travel is restricted to city or mostly those area having traffic, I would like to advise you to go for AT version which is definitely better than manual one.....

  • R U using cruise control? Just asking.

  • @MrTonyM555

not really.....difficult to use cruise control in india at this speed.....traffic rules are followed differently by different people...manual controls are the best....most of the times...

  • can u let us know more information about car maintenance and mileage

  • @umesh1986

i am not sure about the maintenance since the car is new and i have driven it for only 5000 Km till date. Mileage is around 14 if you are driving carefully at a speed of 110-120 only. When you drive 'pedal to metal' the mileage drops below 10. The car is excellent for the front occupants. But comfort at rear seats is average. You can not have sound sleep in the rear seats. The back inclination angle is steep and not very comfortable. What i like most is the engine and raw power.

  • @msneuro Am very sure.. The Cruze which is been marketed in India does not come with Traction control and ESP. it only gets the ABS. Still the cruze is the best car in this segment..

  • @AlfredLOVEsRonel Are you sure? The one I'm getting from the dealer has it I think.

  • @msneuro There is no Traction Control System in Cruze..!!

  • I dsuppose this is cansidered a large and fancy car in India! Enjoy America's finest!

  • DAM THESE GUYS ARE PRETTY STOKED ABOUT HITTING 100

  • sexy man!!! this car is a real beast

  • I FEEL YOU BRO! SPEED IS WAYYY BETTER THAN DRUGS MAN... GRATS :) me personally have only been upto 165... but thats on my swift man... cruze is way too sexy

  • Hello there msneuro...Is this manual or AT? If manual, are u experiencing stiff clutch? im really in a fix on whether to go for manual or AT.

  • My car can leave this car 4 traffic lights behind

  • ...beast?

  • is this 2.0 VCDI?

  • oh wow 138hp.

  • oh. i guess the cruze took both top spots AND runner-up. hahaha whooda thunk?

  • @mrnuckels and Umaxen: what're you, stupid? stop relying on old cliches to try and sound cool. this car is the start of a line that is turning a new corner for GM, especially chevy. this car competes and beats toyota and honda in pretty much every aspect. including build quality, features, and yes, performance. and just fyi: the Cruze is now double, count it, DOUBLE, wtcc world champs. they beat every other car in the championship. TWICE. piece of crap? yeah ok...

  • 122 miles isn't that exactly fast. I had a 98 Kia Spectra that was faster than that that, got better MPG and is/was cheaper to buy new. That said, it is nice to see Chevy actually give a crap about the quality, at least on the inside. All said and done, I'd rather buy the Ford Fiesta though.

  • 200 kph is 120 mph. Not bad for a piece of crap...

  • Learn how to hold steering wheel...

  • manya kay kartos re.... sambhal ke chala nayi gaddi hai LOL
