Let's be like Stern and wallow in self loathing and pop pills that some "doctor" prescribes for our emotional issues. Generally I do enjoy listening to Stern; but he's being a typical closed-minded idiot about this whole thing. To be a tiny bit fair about it though, Robin's description isn't doing the ceremony justice at all.

@EcnelOvelam Well with all do respect, you're just one person. I myself am also one person and Ayahuasca was wonderful for me. I've never done pure, raw DMT and I probably never will; but I will go back to the Amazon rainforest in Peru and drink Ayahuasca again. Ayahuasca is truly a blessing in my opinion. If it were really "life ruining," then the indigenous peoples of the Amazon probably wouldn't have been doing this for the past 2000+ years. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.

I like him sometimes. But he can be an elitist. What is your argument? Don't you find him calling her "crazy" disrespectful? Especially considering she has been his co-host for almost 30 years now? @kevlar785 I don't "hate on him". I just recognize his elitism. The vomit sound effects are supposed to be funny but it masks the real feelings he has for his "sidekick". He has NO respect for her or anyone else that he feels he is "above". I used to love his show when I was a kid. Now I realize just how malevolent he can be. But that mentality comes with his career climbing, hyper hostile approach to life. At 4:36 he's horrified that she's "with people that don't speak English" Says it all.
