Sometimes I ask myself "what is the most metal band" ,like if a I have to suggest the metal to a 9 year old ,what band would that be.Not the most brutal or fastest ,heaviest or most progressive or melodic or anti-this or Anti-that or noisiest or darkest, just what what embodies metal the most ,and when I think of metal as a concept ,not a cliche` but a cultural movement ,I always think of High on fire first .... then Amon Amarth.

Awesome review man. Only thing is I am over people calling them "Stoner Metal", as I feel they should just be construed as metal; they're at the forefront of modern metal; so authentic, and layered. All in all man, thanks for the sharp review. I love this lp. Pike and co. are back with even more intricate tools, in their warchest. Cheers.

I bought this LP unheard, i love sleep so i assumed i would like this.

i play this record almost every day these days.

lots of good ones on this LP, bloody knuckles to name one.

Yeah this is one of the most raw albums i've heard. It's quite unrelenting and on top of it all the songs are about god knows what. I heard the album is about Jesus's brother time traveling
