@yvonneking1929 It is really a very beautiful movie - some things are just not meant to be, are they?

@Iwtchutube Grazzi per il complimento. It's easy to be inspired to poetry when one sees Venice/LaSerenissima. It can cast a spell on you if you let it. You just have to block out the crowds and imagine it several hundred years ago.

@MrSpringtoad Beautifully stated... so poetically spoken.

My wife says if she hasn't seen this film inside of a week she'll surely die! Cheers for that!

Mad bitch.

If anyone can give me the title of the tune playing in the background right at the BEGINNING of this clip, I would be glad to know. That has been bugging me for years !!!!!

Two beautiful people in the most beautiful city in the world...Ms. Hepburn was quite a looker for so much of her career. Mr. Brazzi was sophistication personified. Venice took my breath away arriving there at 1:00 in the morning and taking the vaporetto to the Pensione Guerrato (sp?) This movie gives me a lump in my throat and a longing feeling for these attractive long-gone movie stars and Venezia.

So profound!

I love this movie and this scene in particular is one of the reasons why. Thanks for posting.
Hepburn breaks my heart in this scene! The way she conveyed vulnerability and loneliness is so true to life. Definitely one of her best performances.

My favourite film ever & at the age of 82 I am able to watch scenes from it whenever I like to as my son bought me this iphone4. I am in awe of this wonderful invention and thank all who contribute towards this pleasure of mine. I went to Venice once and they played this music for me in St Marks Sq unfortunately no one like Rossano Brazzi came along for me (but I still can dream) love to every one on you tube. Yvonne
