Cheaters Christmas Cake is a short-cut version of the traditional holiday recipe. Mixed Dried Fruit is soaked in chocolate milk and combined with flour to create the batter. Baked slowly, then glazed and decorated, the whole family will think you slaved for hours making this cake. Only you will know the truth! Give it a go!

  • Is it important to use apricot jam? Can I use strawberry jam?

  • @TheShaligirly Use any jam you prefer - Strawberry would be lovely :)

  • Cake turned out very well. Will this freeze alright?

  • @1rencel Yes you can freeze it. Once the cake is completely cool, wrap it in a layer of plastic kitchen wrap (cling film) and then a layer of foil. The cake can be frozen for up to 6 months ;)
