This may sound like a stupid question but here goes, Will the new grafted plant carry the genetics of both plants in the seed of the fruit or is this just a life support temporary arrangement?

@TheGregmatusky You should expect to add about a week to your timeline for planting. It takes that long for the seedlings to heal. It's probably a little too late this year to start seeds in Pa, however. betterheirlooms website has resources for home gardeners
