this is awesome. why not, however, just get roof racks up there to entirely reserve that central shelf for some big roll out drawer or something? while my van is shorter, this is almost enough inspiration to make me sell of the weather guard shelves i inherited with the van and make something custom--primarily because i HATE crawling and stooping in a van! you seen any other designs?

@christopheradamtube The deck system is designed to conceal my tools while providing a platform to carry materials like 4'x8' sheets of plywood or drywall. Being 20" off the floor it allows access to the tools while carrying materials. If I want to haul a washing machine, motorcycle or something the deck simply pulls out. I got rid of the noisy metal shelves and no crawling is necessary because everything is in easy reach. Check out the other videos on this on my channel.

@christopheradamtube also this system is in another van now with roof racks and padlocks. When I roll up to the job I can have all the tools ready to go with all the materials needed to do it as well. I carry long materials on top with ladders as well. When all is stowed I can fit an airbed in the back for job trips.
