I don't get why some people questions other's intentions. If you learned something, then who cares. When my teacher taught me 2+2=4 nobody said 'oh she's just teaching you that for the money, or she works for the math department, or she cheated on her husband' but it wouldn't have mattered anywars. Because some people don't ever want to learn anything, they have no way of knowing whether they're being misled, so they just attack everything, where they think their next door neighbor is a GOP spy.
Or here is a better idea: how about the government removes its protectionism from the banks. What a load of insanity. The banks are the MOST REGULATED INDUSTRY IN THE COUNTRY. And of course, when they go to shit, it is a LACK of regulation that is blamed. Why the deliberate and unapologetic desire to talk complete wrong shit?
well, i kind of understand that there is a bit of conflict of interest, since she used to work for GS and is on boards of various banks. i also get the fact that everything is interconnected and if that is so, then the institutions should not get so big as if to threaten the stability of the whole system.
I'm in agreement with the If It's Too Big To Fail, Then it's Too Big To Exist Sentiment! I say let the Banksters & The Fed Cash & burn! Let them Eat It! Bite The Dust Swallow Hard on their Toxic Assets! & Poison Deals. These people must be allowed to feel the pain of their criminal behavior! The Nation can survive without these Thieves In The Temple!
Nuance > you it seems. You used the word "system" and referred to its "fragility". While i'm certain you didn't mean capitalism (you probably meant something along the lines of Gov't intervention and the usual rhetoric), I took the opportunity to point out parallels between what you were referring to and Capitalism, as a way of showing a disconnect between your critic and the system which you actively promote.
But go ahead and ignore dissent. That's not unusual from people like you.
Question is..is it even possible to safe them?nobody knows how deep the debt hole that the shadow banking system created is .And the government keeps throwing money at it.
if they are too big to fail then they are too big too exist. If a few big banks can take the whole world down isnt that proof for the extreme fragility of the whole system?
