@chrisheltra I'm guessing he has the henessey 650hp kit with a 75hp nos kit which when they install the 650 kit they remove the engine and do a direct crank and then all it takes it do a little math for the 75hp kit to figure out the hp/torque at the crank and still be relatively accurate

@Tomstarr08 No, theres no henessey kit. As stated in the video, it is a 150 shot. Crank numbers were obviously estimated based on 20% powertrain loss.

@Tomstarr08 I'm well aware what dynos are and what they do and also the different types. This truck was on a chassis dyno which measures estimated power output to the rear wheels. An engine dyno requires you to remove the motor and mate it to a dyno cell separately from the truck. The engine dyno is the ONLY accurate way to determine CRANK hp/tq. Which leads me to believe the claimed numbers in this vid are bull shit. Feel free to view my channel to see my dyno pulls in my Lightning.

@thomasscheliga its a car vs a full size truck, weight ratio's and aerodynamics is the reason behind the winning. I still consider it the worlds fastest truck. HSV MALOO is an el camino off of a grand am... not a truck lol

@chrisheltra Its called a Dyno or a "Dynamometer", which is a device for measuring force, moment of force (torque), or power. For example, the power produced by an engine, motor or other rotating prime mover can be calculated by simultaneously measuring torque and rotational speed

Near local shops in your area you should find at least one dyno or maybe two. It is also used for getting your output after a performance upgrade so they can program your Computer for maximum output
