Awesome vid. I am in the currently taking an open water class, and plan to follow it up with an advanced open water. My parents are buying a place in KW, and this video is just what I need to keep me pumped up!!! Thanks again.

akamano5 The main tank contains 28% nitrox mix. The yellow tank is a 60% mix and used for deco on our accent.

Nope, that's me. I typed in my second comment when I realized I was giving advice to a legendary diver that has logged more dives than I'll ever lie about. I'm an attorney but presently in a big fight with the Bar. They accused me of breaking attorney client privilege, which I did, because my idiot client was telling other inmates I was going to bribe a judge. The bar says I could have my license back if I would admit my mistake. I called them words inappropriate for church. I will fight on

Hi Ken, good to hear from you again. Sorry to hear about your legal status. The truth will prevail in time, hang in there. In the meantime keep blowin' bubbles. That always seems to keep my mind disengaged from the reality of that "upside down" topside world when things start to turn negative.

Great video, thanks for posting. In currents like this I have a larger hood that I put on over my mask, a trick I learned while getting my cave cert. I can see in the video that at least one of you is not wearing a hood, but a 3mm should not overheat you on a dive like this. was told that as a cave diver I HAD to wear the mask inside the hood least someone kick it off. On all my return dives I have found most divers wear the mask the regular way. Just food for thought for future dives.

Good idea, I'll keep it in mind, thanks. Even though the current is always running pretty strong out there, this day was exceptional. Even a dive charter captain who goes out daily commented on how much faster it seemed to be moving. Great day for a drift dive from Bow to stern though.

Thanks for not calling me an idiot. I'm not really a competent enough diver to be giving out advice. This really is a great video, I'm watching it now during my lunch hour again. I hope to dive the Vandenberg while I'm in FL for DEMA. I live out west, and after you've looked at the wrecked planes in Lake Mead 100x, my favorite dive is a drift dive in the Colorado River. We strap on twin 120s and just drift. A very unique feeling, love it. I would have loved to a drift on this dive.

I might be wrong about this, but based on your user name Im thinking that your first name might be Ken and that you are an attorney. Last year an attorney named Ken made a dive with me in Lake Erie on a project Im working on to raise a former 1812 warship (Caledonia) and create a museum around it for the city of Buffalo. He also told me about many of the dives he had made on sunken planes in Lake Mead as well. Is this just a Coincidence?
