  • Interesting... I often find some traits in others annoying when I don't necessarily share them. I guess I'm not very self-conscious anymore because I had to cure myself of being extremely so...

  • Yeah it's easy to go overboard in that direction too. It can be hard to resist the "they don't want to hear this" impulse.

  • Great video man. You said a lot of truth in this. I remember in high school I would make that same mistake. Now days I am the complete opposite and I dumb myself down to the level that makes the person who I am speaking to feel so much more smarter than me.

because the little knowledge I have during a conversation with someone, always gets blocked out for the reason that I'm to afraid to give my own opinion. I think the problem I have now is that I'm to self conscious. I don't know...

  • Yeah it's hard to maintain a good balance between being yourself/contributing to a conversation and being respectful/deferring to others. I guess the people who are best to converse with are those who enjoy you being yourself.

  • Good thoughts!

  • Thanks - good to see you!

  • Wish I did, Mike...I have my own scatterbrained moments. Usually when I'm feeling defensive about my lack of knowledge on a topic I will just randomly ramble on aimlessly about it. Hmm...perhaps this explains my distaste for Sarah Palin?

  • Yeah, it really stops you short when you see how unappealing the behavior is in others!

  • I think I've seen some of those bizarre non-sequiturs. Even been the target of one or two. :)

  • Yeah, it's a very unflattering trait to be SO convinced you're right that you attempt to shout down anyone who dares to try to correct you. I still struggle with the urge to confront people in that situation - I admire your restraint!

  • Yes...the circular say-the-same-thing-5-times-over is something I also fall prey to... :)

  • Thanks Flee!

  • Yes, brought back happy memories of an earlier Sonoma trip. :) Getting older means the horror of discovering that you're turning into your parents!
