  • So using Truvia doesn't cause dumping? Becasue Erythitol is a sugar alcohol which causes dumping.

  • @macberly Sugar alcohols do not cause dumping. They cause gastric distress, quite often, gas/diarrhea, but not dumping in a WLS patient.

  • @meltingmamamelted Ok. That is good to know. Have you ever tried Ideal Sugar? If so, any problems with it?

  • @macberly Haven't heard of it?

  • @meltingmamamelted It is made with Xylitol, an alcohol sugar. Ideal sweet dot com is the web site

  • @macberly Ick. I will try it if I can find a a sample -- but -- xylitol so far has been odd.

  • the nice thing about stevia and truvia is that not only is it sweet, but there is ongoing research that has shown evidence that they cause your pancreas to produce insulin as well as regulate your blood sugar levels, so eat away, it's sweet, yet it's GOOD FOR YOU (GASP)
