Recently had to act as the vigil for the portraits. Quite a few from my unit on that wall. Rest in peace; it was an honour

Folks, these are losses of the Canadian Forces in Afghanistan....no offense taken, or meant. They are very special to many Canadians, and we are honoured you took time to look at the wall

This is so sad that we have lost so many Brother's & Sister's in this war. I feel deeply for the Family & friends. It breaks my heart to see this but knowing that that fought for what they believed in US. The USA. I see them all living or with God Tools of God. Freedom isnt free. They payed like it said with their lives. We owe them Prayer ,Thank You & The Families our All.
God Bless You All Who Have Lost

THANK YOU FOR THOSE WHO HAVE GAVE ALL. As a returned service member from Iraq I thank god every day for my life.
those who have gave all and most especially the families . I am so sorry for your loss
I wish every one could come home.. most times while on patrol I wondered if today is my last would it matter and would any one care. I then would just give my self to what god wants and march on. no ptsd haunts me every day.
This is beyond the capability of words to express how it makes me feel. I thank god everyday for he soldiers who give of themselves that I may have my freedom. THANK YOU ONE AND ALL. I love each of you for what you do. Jeanna

My son recently graduated from recruit training for the Marines, Up until that time I was always thankful for what the people in the military do for our Nation. Since then, I have done more research on what they actually go through and I am a changed person. My respect and appreciation has reached a new level. For those who have lost a loved one in the Armed Forces, my heart and deep appreciation for their sacrifice goes out to them. I pray for our soldiers every day .

I am a Sonar Tech from the Submarine service and I at time do not think I have "done enough" or "I should not receive any recognition", but the truth is that I do deserve that recognition and I have done enough. Even though my part may be "small" and "meaningless" but the fact is that even my small and meaningless part meant that someone else was able to live and that makes a big difference in my thinking.
I want to thank those of my brothers and sisters who are still defending, THANK YOU!
