@Sven2Perroy Also, on a side note. The 350 V8 was designed & built by Holden. They just didn't have the money to mass produce it, so it was sold to GM's Chev division.
So when the 350's were dropped into the 70's models Kingswoods & Monaros & then again in fuel injected alloy form in the series 2 VT onwards, it was, technically speaking, just coming home.

@Sven2Perroy Since 1934? Funny, considering Holden came to life in 1947 & it's first car (known as the FX), was produced in 1948, hence the actual name of the car being the 48-215.
Holden spent their own money, not GM's, on the factories, robots, tools, designs, sheetmetal, structural & architectural work & the Zeta platform. Holden designed & built the entire VE range.
Holden is more important to GM than the government aided funding they received.

What does GM make? your holden engine. your holden body, the pontiac body, chevrolet body etc

@14cichlid Actually this car is made in Australia. It's basically a Holden Commodore with a Corvette engine and Pontiac badge.
