This is a Sterling 2v8 dual tone siren. This siren runs on 240 volts and is being ran off of my home made timer board. The siren has a dual tone ports of 4 and 5 ports. This siren was refurbished completely, it got new bearing and brushes, the top two pieces of the housing went to a body shop, a new sheet metal band was made for it and it was repainted.

  • its basically sterling model 2

  • If that's the one from Derita VFD, I am familiar with thah town; I ran with Providence VFD back in the early 90s. Unionville (Crestview) VFD had one which is no longer in service. I wish I could buy it from them!

  • My Fire Hall years ago had one of these on the hose tower. I havent seen one of these in years. Our was single tone though.

  • You should try to get a video of it far away! That would be creepy. Awesome video btw.

  • that sound great. Also Thank the dog for not howling while the siren was running.

  • Wow, that sounds really good. Great job.

  • Great sounding 2v8!

  • That is sweet! Those early dual tone 2V8s are basically 2Ts.
