  • I believe this is an example of entrainment. Same as brainwave entrainment. Does this also use the Ericksonian handshake technique?

  • This uses principles of Ericksonian Handshake inductions.

  • You can hear some "Hypnotic hertz" on the background

  • Their are no hertz being used on this video. On some of my self help tracks I do but this is all about creating overload, confusion and disassociation in the individuals all aspects of Erickson's handshake inductions. I am also using hypnotic language to enhance the effect. The only background sounds are of the camcorder and from the pub downstairs.

  • This looks like an interesting idea, Dan. Could you have made the whole group go into a relaxed/individual posture,(so they no longer would be interacting) at that time and worked with the whole group for some common problem, ei smoking sessation or weight loss etc.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • Hi, yes, they were all following my suggestions and hypnotised by me (indirectly as they all followed my instructions to hypnotise each other) so if I asked them to relax deeper as their hand lowered to their lap (for example) and to become more responsive they would have followed along...

  • @TuK4Fun Unless you count "Sweet Child O' Mine" as hypnotic hertz, I would say no. Also, did not know British people listened to Guns N Roses. Great video as always Dan.

  • i hypnotized LA

  • Yes it is a form of entrainment. This sort of feedback entrainment is also present in many form of sacred dance, from many different cultures and different traditions from across history and the globe.

Erickson was very intuitive regarding feedback loops and peer to peer entrainment.

  • I followed along and I did that to myself. Very nice.

  • While watching I was albe to follow along doing this technique to myself. I ended with the same arm catalepsy, very cool. This would make a neat self hypnosis induction.

    Thanks for the cool vid!
