The dispatches programme was aired on 15th February 2011 on UK terrestrial television. Its title was titled "Lessons in Hate and Violence".
Channel 4 have broadcasted a programme targetting particularly Deobandi institutions in the UK. In some institutions they had installed covert recording devices for 2 years. Over that time the managed to gather, and compile a handful of inappropriate comments allegedly made by teachers. Many these occassions were dealt with by the institution themselves, some having been resolved over six months ago.

It is not uncommon in any school for staff to have to occassionally subject to disciplinary measure due to inappropriate behaviours. What is of main concern here that it is only the Islamic schools, particularly the Deobandi institutions are the being targeted here.

Some people are saying the beatings took place at a Brelvi not a deobandi mosque so leave it, but in reality the Non Muslims that saw it dont care! They just saw MUSLIMS! If we become lax that its only that group then by Allah tomorrow it will come to your door, then it will be too late. Nip it in he bud now, while we have the power to!

I'm afraid that the majority of people who watched the Dispatches broadcast won't go through the trouble of listening to your response. It is clear that wrongful things happened to children in this mosque. Just like the countless wrongful things that I have seen reported in other places, including in the name of other faiths, and in secular institutions. Like some of the examples you mentioned in this rebuttal. My respect as an atheist to you for this well balanced response.

@lolaarcana im glad people can see that , there are issue's of abuse of power (god willing all the people of authority that are corrupt or are more culturally driven and go aganist islamic teaching .

I'm not a Muslim, the Dispatches show is biased against muslims. However most of the pupils I teach are Muslim and they speak to me about when the go to Mosque outside of school. They love going there, it is clearly good for them.

The person showed in the programme should not work with children, the same should apply to all adults who use violence towards children. This is not an Islamic problem (as it is shown in the programme) it is a worldwide issue.

Very good job. I'm afraid there is a sinister manipulation of peoples minds. The question; Who owns the media conglomerates and what is there agenda? Must be asked and the answer spread far and wide.
