Ed Chester, Executive Chef at Otterton Mill, achieved national and international attention after serving Squirrel Kababs at the Mill's Apple and Game Day in 2008. The kebabs, served with grey squirrel meat, featured on the menu at the event in order to highlight the plight of the indigenous red squirrel, currently under threat from its grey cousin. This Radio Devon clip, recorded in December 2008, features Ed preparing a festive squirrel dish.
