Wow! I never thought I would see this again! Thanks for posting it. Electric Company memories FTW!

Yep just like every car dealer I ever met in Dallas.......

Sounds like Scatman Crothers and Tom Lehrer.

@wlbaz This is an amazing piece for teaching kids (I was 5 the first time I saw it) about "as is".

@ebf1957 Yes it's a little known fact that the cartoon drawing that now serves as Mr. Burns had his start on the Electric Company. HEY YOU GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUYYYYYYYYYYY
YSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
@wlbaz Same here - not only that, but the saleman's pronunciation of it also stands out in my mind. Electric Company was great AS it WAS in the 1970's, but AS it IS today, hmmm...

Right. We should teach our children early to watch out for avoid getting screwed!
what's wrong with the guy's hands who's buying the car?

nothing wrong with his hands, he was just hoping the salesman might include a doggie treat as part of the deal.

This has stayed in my head for years. Everytime I hear or read "as is" I have to say it like the skit.

I absolutely learned the term "as is" from this. Feel sorry for anyone using Ebay that didn't watch Electric Co. ;)
