Plymouth Notch, Vermont is the birthplace and final resting place of President Calvin Coolidge. This is a remarkably preserved historic site that gives great insight into the life of the 31st U.S President. Coolidge had a great love for dogs.
It was SO much nicer before the big changes in the '70s. No parking lot. No visitors center. If you knocked on the white home's front door, you'd expect Grace or Cal to come to the door. One docent at the Visitors Center said Tom Skeritt's character in the film "A River Runs Through It" was inspired by Cal's father. What a crock! "Progress" ruined this presidential site. Should have left well enough alone.
