A story about guerrilla warfare training in Okinawa involving the important difference in fang length between Habu, the pit viper and a sea snake. Proof that not all Green Berets are snake eaters.

Good funny story but here the real facts about the animals. Sea snakes can "easily" get their fangs in ya if they wamt to, but they're usually not aggressive. No snake is poisonous, but they are venomous. Cryptelytrops flavoviridis (habu) does NOT have 2 inch fangs. Try a Bitis gabonica. Now there's some huge fangs.
