Charles Chu, 1918-2008 was a master painter and calligrapher known for his sweeping watercolors and an emeritus professor of Chinese at Connecticut College. Professor Chu and Hughes Toby Griffis built the Colleges unique collection of East Asian art.
In this video, Professor Chu talks about several of the paintings located in the Colleges Charles Chu Asian Art Reading Room in 2002.
I am a former student and great friend of Charles Chu and was so pleased to find this video clip. It captures his essence so well. I currently teach Asian studies classes and would love to have a permanent copy of this or know if there is a longer edition of his talk on painting that is available. I would appreciate any info. Thanks!
