Song Diary Plan: Every week, I will choose a song that reflects something that is going on in my life.
This entry is a song I wrote about my late Nana and Papa. This week, my Dad and Aunt Gretta are climbing Medicine Bow Peak in the Snowy Range to scatter their ashes. As a kid, I climbed the same mountain with my family and camped in its shadow. It is beautiful and indeed, the perfect final resting place.
Dad, who has Parkinson's Disease, and Aunt Gretta are also climbing the mountain as part of Team Fox, which supports heroes all over the country making it their personal mission to find creative ways to raise funds for Parkinson's research. Although this song is not about my Dad, it touches upon the sadness that comes from all the changes of life, expected and unexpected. It's about making hard decisions for your loved ones and about the melancholy of memories...

By the way, I plan to invest in a new mic for my computer soon... My apologies for the mediocre built-in.
