Over 150,000 Corsicans were granted a consent decree from France, and went to live in Puerto Rico. You will see a big populations of Corsicans and children of Corsicans now living in Puerto Rico. This consent decree was given to the Corsicans in 1898. See landing in San Juan, Puerto Rico in this channel.

All'epoca in cui la Corsica fu ceduta da Genova la Francia era una nazione potente, ricca di possibilità e più appetibile economicamente al contrario dell'Italia, divisa in staterelli e sovrapopolata. Tutto sommato i corsi devono ritagliarsi la propria autonomia dal centralismo di Parigi. Ma diventare italiana: NO, anche perchè è impossibile.

But the Corsica shelt many nationalists people,there is mafia,bomb-attack,settling of scores etc....but the corsican people welcome tourists and generally the french people are racists against the corsican and there are some french kills,attacks from the corsicans?Corsica is famous in the world because Napoléon is born in Corsica,Pascal Paoli who helped the U.S.A too
