On July 4th, Beijing was hit by an uncharacteristic amount of rainfall. These videos are taken at Guomao, the heart of the financial district of the city. The East Third Ring Road, a major artery into and out of downtown, was flooded, and a train rail underpass was flooded to its limit.
I'm in Beijing too; it took me 5 hours to get home tonight. Are you still floating in Guo Mao? It's midnight and there are still traffic jams on the ring roads.
