Yeah, this choke isn't very effective anyways.

Guys touching this area is no good. If someone does this to you while you are choking them, and you let go, then your are extremely soft and you need to man up.

This area is the ulnar nerve. But you can' t apply enough pressure to do any harm unless hou hit it with your knuckles from underneath with an upper cut strike. Your timing has to be perfect with the strike because you don't have enough time. The choke he is using is useless anyway. He should be using what we call the police choke hold.

You're welcome! :)

hahah

this technique works if you don't believe me just press the pressure point on your own elbow and see for yourself

Unpractical will never work unless he has down syndrome.

True enough. Certain joint manipulations and pressure point attacks are not allowed in competition. And gloves and tape does render some techniques ineffective. However, the problem with techniques like the one demonstrated is that they are hard to apply under duress and when someone is really trying to choke you the adrenaline makes him insensible to these kind of pain impulses.

@Micahel213 I am not saying this technique works or not, that nerve point is very sensitve. However, the reason you don't see these things in MMA is because: 1) The gloves make this sort of manipulation almost impossible 2) Some MMA events outlaw some small nerve point attacks and small joint manipulations.
Largely, it is the gloves that make a lot of traditional techniques difficult. You aren't going to get a good wrist lock on someone with gloves and tape and wraps for example.
Why is the skinny guy looking at me like that?

@HoShinRyuMaster so if demian or palhares sunk in a rear naked on someone you're telling us that squeezing his elbow is really going to make him relinquish the hold? if this technique works why has it not been utilized in a single adcc bout?
