@93CFD Hang in there your not alone. The shrink asked me if I ever thought about killing people I told him I trained to do that for 12 years. watch everyones hands avoid crowds and have trouble sleeping. but that I would never kill people that were not threatening me or someone else with emenant bodily harm or death. I was a patrollman and fto 3years and protected gov facilities for 8 I miss that sense of mission that i had then.
i go see my shrink today and ill tell her just enough stuff to keep me form being committed... i lie a lot to her because i dont want to be locked up in the va psych ward for 3 days...
@YafatFuqa No sympathy!?! LOL im sure if you saw the things they saw you would be pretty fucked up to. So dont try to be a big man over the computer and think before you type...
OH BY THE WAY...I HAVE BEEN READING THE COMMENTS, AND AM NOT SURPRISED BY THE AMOUNT OF IGNORANCE THAT THERE IS 'OUT THERE'.
MY ADVICE TO THOSE OF YOU THAT FEEL COMPELLED TO WRITE A NEGATIVE REMARK...DO A LITTLE RESEARCH, YOURSELF, CONCERNING PTSD OR SHELL SHOCK. YOUR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE IS GLARING!!!! HINT..LOOK UP WEBSITES ABOUT WW1 SHELL SHOCK OR WW2. THE VETS FROM THESE WARS.. WW II, KORE AND VIETNAM COULD TELL YOU A FEW THINGS.
PTSD is a non visible injury. It has been called many things, like, shell shock. It was seen graphically in WW1 and WW2. If a soldier returns from war with a missing arm or leg, people tend to be more understanding, sympathetic. The medical establishment is still researching the most complex organ in the human body..the brain. There is much ignorance concerning PTSD..however, it is important that suffers know, many of us understand and hope you receive the treatment you deserve. God Bless
I think it is a bit hypocrite to be such a mess right now.. What did you expect when you joined the military? You would be running trough fields of nice flowers and you could make the enemy surrender by singing a song for them? Man up man, should have thinked of this earlier. No sympathy.
