The calendar is supposed to end (either with the end of the world as we know it, or the emergence of a golden age, or both, whatever) on 12/21/2012. So, chances are we'll see the show, unless of course it's set to premiere in 0'13. Either way, it's great to see that the Cad Bane song's waves will be floating around in space :)

The Mayans never predicted the end of the world. Their calendar simply ends in 2012 the way our day count ends at 11:59 each night. Then comes the next day.
