@sjaderlund I doubt it, but it does allow for variable rate application of fertilizer and pesticides to use only what is needed in each area instead of a field average applied everywhere. Pesticides are perfectly safe when used appropriately!

Does the tractor have enough oil flow to run the air cart as well? We are considering doing the same thing but have been told there won't be enough oil to run everything without an extra pump?

We added a 25gpm hydraulic pump to the planter. That is what the blue tank and radiator on the tongue are. I'm a montag dealer, so if you have any questions PM me.

@sjaderlund Why do people like you even watch videos like this if all you want to do is complain about what keeps you alive......the food american farmers produce. Anyway Farmerknows best, I like the setup. I run my montag in the fall on a strip till setup. We use management zones and change both the NH3 and Dry fert based on those zones. Most of the time we end up with an average on the those maps similiar to old field averages. Way to be environmentally friendly and progressive.

You will not die from small amounts of 'non-nutrients'. Poison is contextual: based on ratios of consumption. Hylands Homeopathic teething tablets for babies is made from bella donna. In proper proportions it is not a poison but a mild, safe analgesic. Over use of anything can be deadly, like salt or camphor or even tea tree oil. However, if you want to claim to be educated please refrain from trying to spell out the letter F.

Salt, water, and many micronutrients, while essential for life, are poison in high doses. The same holds true for pesticides, natural and synthetic. Plants produce many toxins for defense, but you don't consider them poisonous because dose matters. Look up the ld50 of any secondary metabolite in food crops. Synthetics are no different. It's basic toxicology

@sjaderlund Piperine, capsaicin, allyl isothiocyanate, gluconasturtiin, caffeine, menthol, hesperidin, and allicin are pesticides, and some will kill you in the right dose (all in high doses). Where do these 'unsafe' toxic deadly chemicals come from? Black pepper, chili pepper, horseradish, cabbage, coffee, mint, orange, & garlic. If you eat your recommend produce servings you get about 1500 mg of pesticides naturally but only .9mg from sprays. Dose makes the poison. Proper pesticide use is safe
