cue the angels

this is a video to honor ghulam rue zamin (the servant of the earth, 1902-1992). Today is celebrated in his honor as a day of prayers for peace.

he wrote a daily devotional called "365 Thoughts for Peace of Mind" that we enjoy very much. he was a person who learned about God through nature, and wrote many deep and thought provoking passages about it.

today is his birthday, so we thought it would be nice to read a portion of the devotional he wrote for the day of his birth. we also included part of a quote from him that his son priya sent us this week. according to priya, it is a message that his father,"sent out to the world leaders in 1984 when clouds of war were looming on the horizon".

today we pray in our own way for peace...

"Heavenly Father, we come to you in the name of Jesus to thank you for giving us peace today. thank you for providing such beautifully written wisdom in the book written by priya's much beloved father. and thank you for hearing this prayer. we love you. Amen."

we hope you will pray in your own way, too.

happy birthday nathji! your spirit lives on! :)
