This whole Gitmo thing is absurd. Every idiot Senator and Congressman goes on about "We don't want them in our communities" as if they're going to be working at the local gas station.
Are they not aware that we have prisons inside the borders too? Gitmo wasn't the only one. Where did they think we put Tim McVeigh or the Unabomber? The moon?
This is the U.S.A. for crying out loud. Putting people in prison is one thing we do better than anybody else!
Stick them in max security and let them rot.

At the moment it is basically preventing whole countries economies from collapsing from the financial crisis largely started by the US banks.
Many of these countries represent a significant portion of Americas export market - what do you think would happen to your economy if your export market collapsed?
Sometimes you need to look beyond the headline of '$100billion to the world bank' to the bigger picture.
