Tool - Vicarious (Guitar Cover)

This is me playing along "Vicarious" by Tool. I really had problems to find the right Sound, but I think the result is very good.

I play the guitar since Nov 2005 and got for one year Acoustic guitar lessons.

PLEASE STOP ASKING FOR TABS. ALL THE TABS ARE FOUND BY EAR AND SOME DIFFERENT TABS FROM WWW[DOT]911TABS[DOT]COM!!! I ONLY USE "GUITAR PRO" TABS I HAVE NO SPECIAL TAB FOR A SONG SO IF YOU WANT ME TO SEND U YOU A TAB, I CANT DO IT!!!

I want to mention, that I play difficult and easy songs, the main thing is that the Song is good! And this one is it. If someone of you say, this Song is pretty easy, I don't care...

But tell me what you think! ;-)

Here a short decription of how I made this Video:
I miced my Amp with the SM57 and ran it through the Alesis IO-26 and than in my PC. I optimized the Sound a little bit with Cubase LE and export it as a Audio Mixdown.
Than I synchronized the Audio and Video File with Magix Video Deluxe and export it as a Video.

@lizpunkzz Adam Jones plays a specific type of Gibson Les Pauls which have a metallic paint finish, adding to his particular sound. These were discontinued later because people complained about changes in tone.

Your tone sounds great though! Good cover :) Spiral out, keep going!

Tool's sound is impossible nail, but don't worry about that you played the song quite well. A little too metal sounding to my ears, maybe a little less gain and treble in my humble opinion, but it is in the ballpark i think, better than most. Adams rig it pretty unique, and the recording of this album is hard to create a unified sound as mixes change through the song. I I posted a vid of this song as well trying to capture the album sound, let me know what ya think.

I no what you mean. In the intro and all other parts of the song that relate to the intro I use the 10th, 12th and 15th frets on the D string. I have to say though, Browbear96 gets a good sound out of the way he plays it.
