I can't tell you how many times I took my 1911 apart to clean it and could'nt put it back together again. Of course that was when I was first starting out with the 1911. Now it has become second nature. To make it easier I suggest adding some tweezers to your took kit for manipulating the sear and dis-connector into place. I hope this video helps someone avoid the embarrassment I went through by having to ask other shooters at the range to help me put my gun back together.

  • Ur the BEST!

  • @DjEazyP Hope it helped!

  • you said to use a pen or a pencil to verify if it fires...you used a hot glue stick...i'd rather use the glue stick because it's soft, and i don't want to scratch the interior of the barrel...i dont mind scratching the outside, but scratching the barrel can lead to some accuracy issues, and maybe something more severe(that's what some gunsmiths told me)

  • @mikelagaffe A pencil is wood and a ball point pen is plastic. They are both softer than the metal barrel. I bet you be ok with them :)

  • @nictaylor00 i should had thought about that before i wrote... sorry .loll

  • @mikelagaffe No worries! You should see some of my comments after drinking :) No one should get on YouTube while drinking LOL!
