  • What a great video......boy do you have a "keeper"...what a great pair you guys looked so happy......I'm envious....I'm 61 and never done any backpacking.....like that.....climbed Longs a couple times but the knees are about gone now.....love RMNP all my life....started going there in the mid '50's with my parents. Thanks for the wonderful video....took me away to the mountains again.

  • @jhhwingnut Thanks for the nice comments, and thanks for watching the vid. Yes, RMNP has a special place in our hearts forever

  • How many miles did you make each day? How much did your packs weigh? Three overnighters? Did you use bearbags or canisters? It looked great. Thanks.

  • @LoftusRoadLad

Thanks for watching! We took our time, and we only did about 6 miles a day on average. 4 overnighter on this loop. Packs are about 40 pounds at the beginning. I do not own a canister, but I hung my stuff sacks for the most part. A few sites had small bear boxes that you can use. Enjoy it if you try it!

  • Nice video. I have done that same route myself and loved it. Spectacular scenery.
