A lot of progressives in America are more than irritated about the lack of strong, progressive leaders in Washington. They've become disillusioned with Obama for bowing to the right wing instead of standing up and fighting like he promised he would. But there is still some hope in Washington. Congressman Bruce Braley is leading the charge against the Tea Party Republicans with his House Populist Caucus, and he spoke with Mike Papantonio recently about what it takes to be a strong progressive leader in politics today.

  • @comband2000 The Fen American one wont run right and the Cheap plastic will fall apart and then we can import the parts from Mexico to fix it!

  • Republicans are liars

  • Pap is wrong about many items. But don't worry. He is becoming a has been very quickly. He can't keep a line up of hosts on his show for very long. Error America radio is defunct. His rating are going down the tubs. He is not on Fox any more, nor on the Ed Schultz show. Just think pap, if you would have taken that half million that you loaned to error america radio and gave it to the poor, you would have been ahead. I look forward to the point when you totally give up on broadcasting!!!!

  • George Wallace's populism like Huey Long?!! No Mike Huey Long was a legend.

  • Much of the middle class vote Rep. cuz they bought the "American dream" hook line & sinker. They actually believe every single 1 of us can amass a personal fortune beyond their needs. Not enough wealth in the world to make that so They don't want to accept anything less, cuz they have been conditioned that anything less would be a hardship They could have a full belly sitting in a modest home with a good car in the driveway & think themselves deprived.

  • Yes...Pap...Buy american....I like that...Start by destroying your foreign car and buying an american one. You hypocrite!

  • Simply letting run of the mill working class Republicans reap what they sew is a HUGE mistake. They need education. They've been bamoozled by Republican leaders & pundits into believing their vote for some rich corporate pawn in representatives clothing is a vote for Jesus (Right wing politicians are notorious for greed, graft & affairs) or patriotism (having sons in the military) or freedom (nobody really cares about their guns b/c if the shit hits the fan, they won't shoot their own sons).

  • Obama is not going to stop bowing either. His WH appointments have shown who he is with Wall Street Criminals running the American economy right into their pockets. That's not going to stop. Obama is not "bipartisan" he has shown himself to be an elite puppet picking up right where W left off. Endless War, money to the rich, cuts to the rest. That health care BS was it for me. Forced health care and no cost control. That was beyond a slap in the face Beyond.

  • @MarmaladeINFP so true

  • @rickbar123 I was reading a book by Strauss & Howe about generations. They pointed out that GenXers as children experienced high rates of poverty & then as young adults experienced unemployment rates not seen by other generations since the Bust Years of the Great Depression. Millennials right now also are experiencing high rates of unemployment. Older Americans don't understand the difficult world the last couple of generations have grown up in.
