It depends on what you're asking...
They're both built on different platforms, but Ford is commonizing components across different platforms. Though, with the demise of the Ranger coming, a hybrid small-truck may not be coming.

It'll sell. I put my deposit down on one 3/20 to take advantage of the full tax credit. From all reviews and a personal drive in one, this car is a winner compared to Camry, Altima, and Malibu hybrids.
