Ride along with Grassroots Motorsports magazine as we evaluate the brand new Honda CR-Z. Honda's new hybrid economy car recalls much of the look and feel of the Honda CRX from a few decades ago, but does it contain the same spirit when driven hard? There's really only one way to find out, so let's head out to the track!

Look for the full comparison including lap times, driver impressions, and specs in the November issue of Grassroots Motorsports. To try an issue of Grassroots Motorsports for free, head to www.grassrootsmotorsports.com/try or join up with our community of enthusiasts at GrassrootsMotorsports.com.

  • Lemme guess, the CRX kicks the CR-zzzzzzz in lap time, acceleration, lateral g's, and even fuel econ. But in a serious collision you'd probably rather be piloting the CR-Z...

  • Without a doubt, CRX > CR-Z

  • @Brendon00000, when exactly did Honda kill the K engine?

  • can't wait for the supercharged mugen crz to come out (:

  • crz is a POS I worked for honda and i own a crx, I can get better gas mileage without any modes, my engine sounds better, chassis looks better, etc, when honda killed the k engine they killed themselves, Honda used to be the best now everything they make sucks

  • @ROBCRX ME TOO.

  • CR-Z is lucky that crx wasnt an SIR model

  • Is it the slow ass USDM 110HP CRX?

  • the crz is an ugly fucking thing. crx ftw

  • @pilotguy87 na man, the highest ive gotten with my 90 Si is 46 mpgs, i usualy average around 33 around town though, all depends on how you drive

  • @tigergreg8 hey bro read again i said CR Z "Z" as in the current model dumbass its a hybrid.

  • @xstr33tr4cerx Hybrid,? Not sure what your definition of a Hybrid is. I own a 91 CRX and it's not a hybrid, It gets good fuel economy, but it's def not powered by any type of optional system besides gasoline,
