Also, some hobby stores sell RC's cheaper on EBAY.

My RC car is Nitro powered(probably what you meant).Gas RC's are usually more expensive. Though probably cheaper in the long run, as nitro is expensive. I paid around 350$ for mine(as a starter buggy, knowing I would crash alot). I bought it off EBAY new. I am planning on buying a new 1/8th scale RC buggy for about 600-700$. If you want a usable but not nearly the greatest = 300+$. For a good dependable RC 1/8th scale buggy 600+$.
I would check out RC universe for more info, they are great help!

How cheap could you get a gas powered dune buggy, because I've been looking around on the internet and I can't find any that are good and in my price range?

For a second hand car off ebay thats a good buy, looks to run good. A mate bought one off ebay and the last owner had thraped it.LOL

It is a lot faster now, I have added many hop-ups, as well as properly tuned it.
I have not measured the speed yet, but I would assume around 50-60 MPH.
It's on the shelf right now, I bent a shock so I have to get some parts :(

Do you mean front wheel drive? If so you can but it would be very hard to control, and take all the fun out of it lol.
Mine is 4 wheel drive right now.
Cheers

ok, wat buggy is that then, i have a hyper 7 with the .21 engine, only jad it 2 months but if you can help me i need to know what settings i should have the needles on for top speed and accerlation has i have run it in and struggling to get a perfect setting.

The buggy in the Video is a Smartech Vanguard Sport. I can't really tell you what settings to use, as every engine is different. Also it depends on how high up you are above Sea Level, the Humidity in the air around you, and average temperature.
As you pointed out, their should be a visible amount of smoke on acceleration/top speed, but not too much.
Have you searched "Nitro Tuning" on Youtube?
There are two very good videos which will help you out. Also you could try the RC Universe Forum
