  • From Nemetsa to @memadmax69 you are absolutely right. Two generals failed to stop Hitler and if he had even more tanks they would have been running like sheep.

  • @memadmax69 these king tigers were useless

  • If they had an extra 100 of these in the Africa campaign they would have won the war.

  • Awesome tank but not very practical. Costly in both production, materials, and also fuel inefficient. There were few bridges that could support it's enormous weight, As there is a major river every 100km or so in Europe this is a critical factor. It's sheer size made it almost impotent in urban areas without infantry support.

Having said that it's still an impressive vehicle even by todays standards.

  • Were there any famous Bengal Tiger tanks? I mean Tiger 131 is one of the most famous and spectacular Tiger I tanks of WWII that is still surviving but what about the Bengal Tigers?

  • @MArkGilfach Begal Tiger's were expensive, too heavy and suffered fuel hungry problems compared to the Allies - the Panther or Jagdpanther would have done better - particularly the latter as it mounted the same armament only lacking a turret - yet the Jagdpanther was too little to actually turn tides of the war :( Not to mention crazy projects demanded by high-powered Nazi's besides Hitler himself...

  • @MArkGilfach German tanks and tactics remained superior in the defensive battles of WWII - however quality and quantity do make good - take the IS-2 - it may have the faults of speed, poor optics, poor gun accuracy but compared to a T-34/85 or a Sherman 75mm the IS-2 would have been a more dangerous challenge to the Germans - plus more IS-2's were made compared to all Tiger variants put together. To be honest though the Bengal Tiger was somewhat 'flawed' - compared to the Elefant.

  • super info
