Nice (and entertaining) discussion of the Particulares brand and its provenance. I’ve smoked several and have found the draw to be rather loose. However, the flavor, which I would describe as having sweet, caramel notes, is intriguing. I would disagree with you regarding the body of this smoke. In my opinion, this is not a full-bodied cigar. I agree with you about the flavors of the smaller gauge cigars. I believe it's due to the ratio between the filler and the wrapper (which some might say holds most of the cigar's flavor) - you get a bigger wrapper-to-filler ratio on the smaller ring-gauges then in the larger ones.

I use wooden matches as much as possible. To me, that is the way it is supposed to be lit.
